The Homestead Shooting Club
With a history dating back to 1933, our historic gun club hosted the first-ever U.S. Open Sporting Clays Championship in 1992. Certified N.S.C.A shooting instructors are ready to enhance your experience at the resort by providing guidance along our world famous sporting clays courses. Take an adventure through almost a mile of wooded courses that simulate many types of game birds and rabbits. Best of all, we will outfit you with guns, ammo, targets and vests as well as eye and ear protection for your safety and comfort.

- Four skeet fields
- Two sporting clays courses (weather permitting)
- Trap and five-stand courses
- Guns, ammo, vests, and eye and ear protection available
- Group and private lessons
Lessons:
Our certified N.S.C.A. shooting instructors are available for group and private lessons. Reservations are required at our Virginia shooting range. Call (540) 839–7787 for further information or to set up an appointment.

The Homestead Gold & Sporting Clays Classic | August 22-24
Whether you are an avid golfer or a clay-shooting aficionado, this is one event you won't want to miss. Fire away at 18 stations of tournament sporting clays on Friday, followed by 18 holes of championship golf on Saturday. The top six two-person teams in the championship flight will advance to the Golf & Sporting Clays Shoot-Out.

The Ida Ryder Memorial | August 18
Join us for a fun-filled day in memory of Ida Ryder, the beloved former manager of the Omni Homestead Shooting Club. This NSCA-registered event features two thrilling 100-target courses (Red and Blue), a European rotation format (minimum of 3 people per squad) and lively reception at 5:30 pm. Everyone is welcome, and you can register right on the day or online at scorechaser.com starting June 21st. Each course is $75.

Cancellation Policy:
Please be advised that no-shows and cancellations made 24 hours or less before a reservation will be charged the full fee. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance will be processed without penalty.
All firearms must be unloaded and cased during transportation to and from the Shooting Club and inside the resort.
Payment for all resort charges, such as dining, shop purchases and activity fees, will be to your guest room folio or credit card. The Omni Homestead resort's restaurants, bars, retail shops and amenities will no longer accept cash.
